I have a new neighbour! He is quite certainly the most cheerful and loveable fellow I have met in a long time. Not knowing his real name, I have named him CEDRIC.
I live surrounded by an inner city school on two sides of the property. I have always felt sad that my school friends did not have a nice grassy yard in which to play. The yard was paved and also doubled as a parking lot. In the last few years, the powers that be have started to upgrade the playground. They planted a green grassy area and installed a large piece of playground equipment to exercise growing muscles. This summer, the machinery rolled in and across the driveway became a fenced in area all nicely gravelled. In the last month they have installed several pieces of play equipment for younger children. Enter Cedric.
I think he may be a caterpillar, but his most attractive feature is his whimsical smile and his lovely coloured boots. He loves to have the little ones climb on him, but every time I look out my window, he brings a smile to my face. Welcome, Cedric and thank you for being a great source of cheer!
