FORTHECULTURE: 6 CELEBRITIES WHO ROCKED AFRICAN OUTFITS TO THE 2017 BET AWARDS



The 2017 BET Awards took place yesterday at the Mircosoft Theater in Los Angeles, and we can't get enough of the African celebrities who repped the culture in their traditional wear.

1. Chief Obi. Nigerian-American comedian who is famous for his comedies.

2. Nomzamo Mbatha. An actress from South Africa who is the face and ambassador of Neutrogena, PUMA sportwear, and AUDI

3. Luvvie Ajayi and her cousin. Luuvie is a Nigerian-American blogger famous for her blog, Awesomely Luvvie in where she sarcastically and hilariously addresses social and political issues. She is also the author of I'm Judging You: The Do-Better Manual

4. French Montana, a hip-hop/rap artist from Morocco

5. Yvonne Chakachaka. Singer, songwriter, entrepreneur, humanitarian and teacher from South Africa.

Rayvanny, a musician from Tanzania. Not really an African wear but he came repping his country with the flag of Tanzania as a scarf.
